The sounds recordings were gathered over the month of October 2002, when I
walked in a circle around the San Francisco and San Pablo Bays. I walked
about 300 miles. It took about 30 days. Throughout the trip, I was
largely self-sufficient. I put myself on a budget of one dollar per mile.
This was more than enough to buy the food and first aid products that
I needed to complete the journey.
