mmm014 Oval-Teen audio mmm netlabels <img src="http://www.archive.org/download/mmm014/mmm014.jpg" hspace=15 vspace=15 align=left>In the year 1999, Bradley Davis brought his 4-track over to the house of Five Seventeen and plugged it in to his computer. Armed with two boxes of unlabelled 4-track cassettes, Brad and Five began to play each tape one-by-one and began labelling. It was a long process as the nights progressed into weeks, then months. The goal was to create a CDR of unreleased or out of print tracks from cassettes and release it on My Mean Magpie. At some point, however, an offer came in from Bi-Fi Records in Iowa and the project suddenly became much larger. As, <i>Yorkville, IL</i> was awaiting release a small single was released to promote the upcoming album and release a new mix of a second song. "Don't Think for a Minute" appears here in it's original form (a long intro was added to the double CD version); "Man, Don't even Sweat It" is a new mix of a song that appeared on Secular Songs for Broken Hearts ep (Motorway Records, Japan). Finally, the end sample is a small segment by "comedian" Chris Peterson from his never released cassette <i>Mad as Hell</i>. <i>Yorkville, IL</i> can be ordered from <a href="http://bifirecords.com/" target="_blank">Bi-Fi Records</a>.
